Dental Crowns and Bridges

A dental crown is an ideal way to restore a tooth that has been fractured, has a large filling, or has suffered significant damage due to extensive decay. A crown is a dental restoration that covers the entire visible surface of the tooth, also known as the tooth prep or abutment. This provides protection and reinforces the tooth’s structure while ensuring a perfect aesthetic appearance. The finished crown is permanently fixed to the prepared tooth with dental cement, making it a non-removable, fixed solution.

Types of Crowns and Bridges by Material

Metal-ceramic

It is made with a porcelain veneer fused to a nickel-free metal framework (which is a special dental alloy). Porcelain is durable and does not discolor. It is recommended for molars because it optimally distributes the biting force.

Zirconia (zirconium dioxide)

These are metal-free crowns where the metal framework is replaced by a white zirconia framework of nearly identical strength. They provide a more aesthetically pleasing result than metal-based solutions because, thanks to the white framework, their translucency is identical to that of natural teeth.

E-MAX porcelain veneer

If your teeth have minor aesthetic or structural flaws, or discoloration, we can make your smile perfect and pain-free with E-max veneers! In order to bond the veneers to the surface of the teeth, a minimal amount of enamel must be removed, which usually means 0.2–0.5 millimeters. The veneers are as thin as contact lenses and are crafted from a special ceramic by the dental laboratory based on the patient’s requests.

Tooth whitening

The Beyond® cold-light tooth whitening technology used in our clinic is the most modern and effective method available today in the field of teeth whitening. It is capable of cleaning not only the surface of the teeth but also their deeper layers. Its specialty is based on a so-called low-temperature cold-light system, which prevents damage to the teeth. Another major advantage of the Beyond® whitening system, also used in the USA, is that both jaws can be treated during a 2×20 minute session, achieving up to a 2-3 shade improvement. Beyond is a single-session treatment with no side effects.
