Sedation dental treatments are not only necessitated by the fear of pain, they can be applied in numerous other cases as well. Sedation is an ideal solution for patients who experience above-average anxiety in the dental office or are afraid of potential pain.

During the treatment, you are able to cooperate with your physician, understand and carry out verbal instructions, while circulatory, protective, swallowing, and breathing reflexes remain intact.
During sedation, the anesthesiologist always intravenously administers both sedatives and painkillers.
The procedure seems faster and more comfortable.

Who do we recommend sedation for?

if you are afraid of the dentist or dental treatments
in case of an increased gag reflex – due to severe nausea or retching
in case of performing multiple dental treatments at the same time
due to complex dental problems
in case of hyperactivity

You can feel safe throughout the entire duration of the procedures, as not only your attending physician but also an intensive care specialist will be looking after you the whole time. During the treatment, we continuously monitor your vital signs, and after its completion, the patient’s consciousness clears within a short period. We then observe you for another 1-2 hours, after which you may return home with an escort. Driving is prohibited for 24 hours! For our sedation treatments, please always arrive with an escort!
